Prepping tripe in all its glorious textures and distinctive scents is what I show you in this video. How do I prepare, or cut lamb tripe sticks, into manageable pieces to use for puppy and dog training at Love Wags A Tail board-and-train? It’s right here. Follow along and you can do it at home, too.
I use a ton of tripe. Mind you, the lamb tripe is smaller, narrower, so easier to cut. If you delve into beef tripe, it’s more of a stick for a quick chew treat. Though some beef tripe sticks may be easy to cut. Your best bet for buying tripe sticks to cut into bite-sized pieces is the lamb.
Tripe is a fabulous way to get your dog’s attention and keep it. Sure, it’s very barnyard scented, but hang in there, grin and bear it. It’s for your dog, after all! Tripe is the caviar of dog training food. Tripe is a huge reinforcer and you’ll find out how well you get your dog’s attention when you use it.
I use tripe to train dogs and puppies at Love Wags A Tail board-and-train. I use this tripe and recommend it either way.
