A potential client called me to discuss puppy training and then asked me if I gave a free initial dog training consultation. I had just interviewed her about the behavioral issues she was having with her dog, and what outcome she would like to see from training. I knew enough from our conversation that this was the kind of case I could resolve and would take. My phone interview with her was the free initial consultation.
The purpose of an interview is to get the pertinent information down and discover if I can provide the training my potential client needs. I offer this as a free service on the phone rather than coming to your house to do the interview. Most likely, what you’ll get from a dog trainer who comes to your house for an interview instead of using the phone is a sales pitch. As I tell my clients, dogs don’t work for free, and neither do people.
If you want to get solutions rolling for your first in-home consultation, contact us for that free initial dog training phone interview, and we’ll set up an appointment to get the dog training wheels in motion to solve your dog’s behavioral challenges that will make life easier for the both of you.
