Maggie May was a boarding and training client who came through the Love Wags A Tail Board-And-Train Program for housetraining and to learn basic manners. We also taught her the rules of playing tug with people, and when she followed them, her reward was more play and even to win the game. Everyone wants to win! Playing tug with your dog is a great way to bond and gives your dog some much needed exercise.
Social interaction between dogs who have good communication and play skills enriches dogs’ lives. Maggie May, all of 6 months old and 8 pounds of fun, decided to play tug with our 8-1/2 year-old Dobie, Raven. Shih Tzu Maggie learned the rules of playing dog-tug because Raven is a good tug player and teacher.
When you sign your dog up for one of our training and boarding boot camp programs, your dog gets the training he needs plus play time, day-to-day manners, and plenty of love and exercise.
