Happy autumn! Fall is our favorite time of year at Love Wags A Tail board-and-train. The softening of the heat is a welcomed change, and all the colors of fall displayed in decorations, flowers, and other foliage, plus the annual holiday movies and TV shows, makes this a magical time of year.
And with that are festive dog collars and the opportunity to take memorable photos of our dogs. Because just as we age and see the changes in photos over the years, our dogs go through similar changes and it’s surprising to notice the difference when looking back at younger photos of a beloved pet after she’s aged to senior status.
So take the opportunity to snap some shots of your dogs. Use those obedience skills and cue a sit or down stay while you take the shot. Though you may have to practice first!
If your dog does a trick, such as waving, which my dog, Velken, is showing off, take a photo of your dog in the act.
Have some fun with dressing them up in costume, if that’s your thing, or just use the colors, decorations, and opportunities that autumn presents you for a fun snap shot or two.
