Today is St. Valentine’s Day and as far as I’m concerned, there’s no better way to share unconditional love than with your dog. They’re always ready with a wag of their tails for a new adventure.
Here’s a sweet Labrador Retriever puppy who is a recent graduate of the Love Wags A Tail puppy board-and-train program giving us his all. Speaking of love, he had plenty to give and he also loved training. Of course, we offer some very tasty training food as our way of showing the love, too. Plus all our methods are humane without the use of painful collars. Dogs are happy to train with us.
Romeo, the Lab, was such a smart puppy and so eager to learn that he had finished all the must-haves on his training list with time left over. We then added tricks to his learning agenda and he did a wonderful, joyful job.

If you like to laugh with your dog as well, and dogs do get happy right along with us when we laugh, then I suggest Frasier’s 14th episode, “Three Valentines,” from their 6th season. It will not dissapoint. If you’re on You can watch it on some streaming sites. One of the best moments was when Daphne told Martin “It’s sort of like you’re my pet.”
Also keep an eye on the fabulous stay-in-place work Eddie does while Niles handles the fire extinguisher. That took a lot of practice! A fire hydrant is noisy, messy, and scary, and who wouldn’t want to move when something like that is pointed and going off near you! Great training there.
We hope you and your dogs enjoy Valentine’s day by showing the love. Have fun together. Do some training, play time, or just hang out with each other. Which is how everyday should be when you share your life with dogs.
