Here’s something you don’t see too often. A Dobermann eating a pickle. OK, so he’s not actually eating “the” pickle, but he’s eating from the pickle. The Starmark Pickle toy. What a greatly designed toy it is, too! It keeps dogs occupied for long spurts of time. Luigi the Dobermann is almost 13 years old, and sometimes it’s difficult to find the right toy for him, but he loves his pickle toy! And it gives him a mental workout, as well to get your dog started on a lifetime career of using food toys.

And below is an example of the power of another food toy, the Kong. Just be sure to have ear plugs ready when you listen to this one. But the miracle of a food toy will save the day, and your ears, at the end, so enjoy a good laugh at the antics of an adolescent Elkhound and his would-be playmates

We’ll discuss the virtues and pitfalls of certain interactive food toys and why it’s important to offer your dog these wonderful enrichment puzzles on an ongoing basis. Teaching your dog how to use such toys is just as important, and you’ll learn how to create interest in those toys for your dog as well.
